- PlayersOnly Poker is a good example of a moderately good, but not terribly special in any way, room. I played here only moderately, perhaps a week total, and was not blown away, as it seemed that the people running it were not trying to gain a competitive edge, but were simply taking cues from more successful rooms.
PlayersOnly is different from many rooms in that it is open to players from the United States, and is indeed very different in that it is closed to any players who are not of Canadian or American citizens. The software runs just as all of the other rooms on the Cake network do, and it is attractive and smooth, and a fair bit different, from an interface perspective, from the more common and well-used iPoker sites. The Cake skins seem a fair bit more stable than their iPoker brethren, and PlayersOnly is no exception, it has very few issues with stability. Though growing extremely quickly, there is still a comparatively low amount of people playing on PlayersOnly compared to many other sites, and thus players ...
- looking for competition with hundreds of thousands of people at a time should look elsewhere. The few people who actually do play at PlayersOnly are fairly soft, and any experienced player should be able to shark tables, especially at lower stakes, quite well, because of newer players’ lack of skill.
One thing I can compliment PlayersOnly as having is a good sign-up bonus, which is up to $1,000 at 125%, thus making PlayersOnly have more incentive than many other rooms to play there. Unfortunately, there are only a few people who play here, and thus this bonus seems to go to waste to a large extent.Like many other Cake rooms, PlayersOnly has a competent and friendly support staff who are knowledgeable about the few problems that do arise with their software. There are a wide range of deposit options, and PlayersOnly accepts deposits from American credit cards (though some states block this) with a gusto that few other rooms do. All in all, PlayersOnly is a rewarding, if unremarkable experience. I would recommend you skip this room in favor of better ones, though.
